Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) is an unknown college football coach from the American states. Despite his lack of experience, he is now said to be coaching England’s professional football team. In addition to starring Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence (“Scrubs”) (Doozer Productions) and Warner Bros. It is a joint executive producer with Television and Universal Television (NBCUniversal Content). Also executive producing are Jeff Ingold (Doozer Productions) and Lizakatzer. Created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt, the series is based on the popular format and characters of NBC Sports.
In season three, Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond take on West Ham United, where former AFC Richmond assistant coach Nate Shelley has left. AFC Richmond must prove that, contrary to media speculation, they cannot finish bottom of the Premier League.
Apple is heavily promoting Ted Lasso Season 3 and has teamed up with Nike to release a full range of AFC Richmond jerseys, hoodies, t-shirts and sweatshirts. In the US, Jeni’s also offers a Ted Lasso flavored “Biscuits with a Boss” ice cream cone with a butter cookie and sweet cream base.
Sudeikis revealed to Deadline magazine in March that the third season would herald “the end of the story.”
