The Easter holidays are coming to an end. Whether it’s a farmer’s market, street food or hustle and bustle: there’s still plenty to do on the last holiday weekend from April 14th to 16th for families with kids and adults alike. Agricultural exhibition in Dietmannsried
The Agrarschau 2023 starts in Dietmannsried (Oberallgäu district) on Thursday, April 13. The five-day agricultural fair ends on Monday, April 17. The farmer’s market is open every day from 09:00 to 17:30. The tent is open until dark on four days. On Thursday and Friday the marquee program will start at 18:30 and end at 23:00. On Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 23:00 there will be music and a great atmosphere in the marquee. Drinks are served until 23:30, closing at midnight.
In addition to the agricultural fair with 350 exhibitors, there is a large carousel, shooting gallery, candy sale, trampoline and lottery booth. Prime Minister Markus Söder and Agriculture Minister Michaela Kaniber visit the fair and beer tent on Saturday. Entry to the agricultural exhibition in Dietmannsried is free, only a €5 parking fee is required.
Street Food Festival in Oberstdorf
After Lent it’s feasting and trick-or-treating in Oberstdorf. From Friday, April 14th to Sunday, April 16th, the Street Food Festival will be held in the Kurpark. Food trucks have specialties from different countries: meat, vegetarian and vegan. There is a bouncy castle and a children’s painting corner. Rod Fritz plays live on Saturday, Jets Duo on Sunday. Oberstdorf street food market opening hours:
- Friday: 16:00 to 21:00
- Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m
- Sunday: from 11:00 to 19:00
Spider Murphy Gang and Munich Freedom in the Big Box Kempten
“Spider Murphy Gang” and “Münchener Freiheit” are guests at the Big Box in Kempten on Saturday, April 15th. The joint concert of the two cult groups will start at 19:30, doors open at 18:30. There are still some tickets available in the Big Box. Tickets for the cheapest seats category cost 67.90 euros.
Spring market in Mindelheim
The spring market has a long tradition in Mindelheim. The fair has been held on the first Sunday after Easter since 1687. The date is this weekend in 2023. Around 180 vendors will be offering their wares in the old town and Krumbacher Strasse on Sunday, April 16 and Monday, April 17, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. There are several rides in the hustle and bustle of Theaterplatz.

Latin night in Kempten
“Proyecto Latino” will hold a Latin Night in Kempten on Saturday, April 15. The party starts at 19:00 at Bäckerstraße 9 in Kempten. Entry is free. Salsa, Bachata, Reguetón and Tango are danced. “Rarely Perfect” is played live by the band. Latin American food and refreshments are available.
Show cheeses at the Lehern cheese shop
The Alpine dairy Lehern of Hopferau near Füss invites those interested to show them how to make cheese every Friday during April. Visitors can help make the cheese: mix, cut and taste the cheese. The cheese making exhibition starts on Fridays at 1:00 pm and lasts about two hours. The visit costs 30 euros per person, group prices on request. Registration and contact on 08362/7512.
