Aryzta Germany delivers frozen pastries: the third largest fleet of frozen vehicles

According to Aryzta Food Solutions, it is the market leader for convenience bakery and food service products in Germany and oversees around 10,000 delivery points in the out-of-home market. To ensure delivery reliability, the international company currently has the largest fleet of TK vehicles in Germany, with its own vehicles and drivers.

Own fleet for greater flexibility

“After the experience of the corona pandemic, customers know that price is not the only criterion, but that bakery products are delivered on the agreed date and in the ordered quantity. We have a delivery capacity of almost 99 percent,” says Ronny Szepanski, Logistics at Freiburg-based Aryzta Food Solutions the heads The company has about 9,000 customers, and according to Szepanski, the issues of product availability, merchandise space and storage locations are important today.

110 vehicles ensure the flexibility required in the out-of-home market – orders for next day delivery are accepted until 1pm. Deliveries start from five locations: Deizisau, Garching, Heppenheim, Hamburg and Unna, and 15 transshipment points are also available. In addition to frozen products from the company’s bakeries in Eisleben, Gerolzhofen and Nordhausen, the vehicles also transport frozen products from well-known brands and retailers.

In the night and shuttle traffic, not only storage spaces, but also customers are supplied within 24 hours. There are 120 tours a day, five days a week. According to the company, this includes around 500,000 stops per year.
